NURSING SUPERVISOR

 Under the general direction of the Director of Nurses, the Nursing Supervisor supervises and coordinates patient care on the various nursing units of the hospital.  In the absence of the administrative staff, the Nursing Supervisor may exercise direct line supervision of any employee for the benefit of the hospital.  Action taken in the exercising of this delegated authority is binding but may be altered by administrative consideration if time allows.  Works with the Nurse Managers on staff assignments and activities.  Provides input for staff evaluations.  Inspects nursing units to verify that patient needs are being met.  Performs related duties.

EDUCATION:

Job requires current RN licensure in the state of Oklahoma.

EXPERIENCE:

Requires at least two years of recent experience in acute care nursing.  Two years experience as Charge Nurse is preferred.
