Physical
Therapy Services
The Physical Therapy Department serves the community
by providing service to patients of all ages, birth to geriatric,
for rehabilitation of muscular-skeletal and physical impairments.
The department will service the acute needs of the patients
with both in-patient and out-patient care and assess patient's
long range benefits of continued care by referral to
rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, nursing home
placement, or home health agencies.
The patient's acute care needs are identified by an evaluation
process. A treatment plan is designed and implemented through
a plan of care with strategic outcomes identified in the short
term and long term goals. The plan of care is implemented,
reviewed, and monitored to reflect the patient's progress.
The hospital is staffed with physical therapists, physical therapy
assistants, and physical therapy aides.
