Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Staff Nurse, the Patient Care Aide assists the nursing staff by performing routine duties in caring for patients.  Keeps the patient as clean and comfortable as possible.

Education:

            Job requires grammar school education (8^th grade), and LTC certification.

Experience:

            Requires no previous experience and three months of on the job orientation for a total of three months.

Judgment & Complexity of Work:

            Performs various routine tasks such as blood pressure, temperatures, etc., which are periodically checked by the supervisor.  Employee may decide which procedure to use in that particular situation.
