Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Staff RN, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care, administers medications, performs treatments and procedures, and assists with other related duties. Observes patient’s condition and documents problems. Makes recommendations to RN for plan of care and acuity update. Maintains safe and effective nursing care for patients. Assists in supervision and training of Patient Care Aides and Ward Clerks.
Education: Current LPN licensure in the state of Oklahoma.
Experience: Six months of previous related experience is preferred plus three months of learning tie on the job, for a total of nine months.
Judgment & Complexity of Work: Involves various duties related to patient care. Ability to make routine decisions with periodic supervision from Staff RN. May be expected to analyze patient’s condition or situation and take steps within standard procedure. Usually plans and arranges own work. |
