The dishmachine operators are responsible for operation of the dishmachine for washing of patient and personnel dishes, washing of all cooking and serving utensils, taking trash to the dumpster, sweeping and mopping.  Dishmachine operators are also responsible for taking patient food carts to the nursing units and completing assigned cleaning of dishwashing area and other assigned areas.  Performs related duties.

 Education:

            Requires grammar school (8^th grade).

 Experience:

            Previous related experience is desirable but not mandatory.  Job requires one month learning time on the job.

 Judgment & Complexity of Work:

            Under constant supervision, the employee performs most routine repetitive tasks.  Practically no independent decisions are required.  Tasks are carried out according to detailed instructions.
